Located in the former ticket office of Insch’s attractive working railway station, the Insch Connection Museum houses a treasure trove of information.

Displays give an overview of the history of Insch and District with photographs, artefacts and everyday stories of how life was lived in this area.

The railway connection includes a scale model of the station which shows Insch railway station in the days when the layout of tracks was complex, the railway station being of strategic importance to Insch and the farming communities.

Archive material about Insch and District is available for research;  material in store is readily accessible on request. Our computer database which uses MODES software is growing all the time, and can be searched in the museum free of charge.

The Museum is open on Wednesday and Sunday afternoons from 1.30 to 5.0 pm from April until October. Arrangements can be made for groups and school parties at other times to suit

Younger visitors enjoy watching model trains in operation in the scale model of the station and also like to play with another train set. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The museum is accessible for wheelchairs most easily from the station car park via the ramp to the platform and then through the waiting room.
